Dealing with NFU is always a pleasure. After years of doing business with other insurance companies I realise what a wonderfully good decision it was to give NFU our business. Jade Malone was the last person I spoke with and this charming delightful caring person exemplified such kindness, wisdom and professionalism and sorted out all the issues I raised. Initially I spoke with Jennifer Brown who also held high the flag of excellence for NFU. Thank you to all the NFU staff local to me in Canterbury.

I have had to make two claims to NFU this year, both the consequence of very bad weather. Each claim was managed very well, with the minimum of paperwork, and settled promptly with no argument. Jade Malone at the Canterbury office was especially helpful.

Always get the phone answered quickly. Always speak to someone who can deal with an issue or query rather than be shifted to another department. Local contact office

Needed to change a motor policy. All done very quickly. So good to get a result without the hassle some companies make of calls, long wait with phone ringing, understanding problem etc.

Very sad situation from NFU
We have two cars insured fully comp and maximum NCD which is protected for extra premium charge.
My wife had an accident in one car and it was not her fault - driver on wrong side of road and came round blind corner hitting her offside - he didn’t stop!
So, fair enough her premium goes up as it’s classed a fault claim - I understand that.
The unfair sad situation is that upon annual insurance renewal they put up the other car insured as well as a loading - so both cars loaded on premium.
Raised a compliant and told that’s the way it is by the Underwriters - they even admit it’s harsh!
So I advise NEVER insure two or more cars with NFU as you’ll pay a premium loading cost on every car on premium renewal if one car is subject to a claim.
So I’m in the 5% of customers totally dissatisfied as this is utterly unfair and unwarranted.
So now likely they’ll lose my custom.

5th year of insuring my car with NFU - very happy! Competitive price (for my particular car) and quickly resolve any claims (should the worst happen). They’ve been very busy recently and therefore not always easy to contact and have also just changed the software used to price up renewal quotes (with the inevitable teething bugs), however Abigail and her team have been fantastic and I’ve therefore renewed for another year. Highly recommended.

I was with nfu for 10 years but apparently I am not good enough to have insurance with them unless I put all aspects of my business insured with them. In 12 years I've run my business never heard that before. The quality of service and knowledge was disappointing not to say other word. I would strongly advise people to search somewhere else before you come to nfu. If that is the way they treat an ex loyal customer I wonder how they treat new customers. Be aware.
