This pub is lovely. The food is great, the service is good. The manager was so helpful and kind even providing and feeding the dog we had with us and makes a mean Malawi shandy. I highly recommend the place

Googled this pretty place for the first time. Booked a table for Sunday lunch I'm gluten free so I write everywhere I go specially for celiac people like myself. Really good menu with gluten free options. Decided to have Sunday dinner roast beef and slice of pork with roasted potatoes vegetables were cooked beautiful. No gluten free Yorkshire pudding 😞. Staff were friendly and professional very helpful with choices. Desert was good a few choices for gluten free. Will go again.

Rang at short notice but managed to get a table. Nice welcome and great service. Opted for Sunday roast which was delicious. Menu looked interesting, will return on a week day.

Nice pub, great Ale at a good price (Draught Black Sheep) and very friendly staff.
However, we went because we had heard about the meals here...Egon Ronay endorsed apparently. Sorry to say what we had was a little more than average at best and very very expensive.
The Ribeye steak I had was a battle even with a steak knife and although I ordered med rare was in places bordering on being blue so a couple of cooking degrees out.
As it goes I usually order Fillet blue and often recieve it rare so the redness didn't unduly bother me.

Got the impression the 'triple' fried
chips were a frozen product as was the Whitebait first course.

Amazing food, lovely staff.
Very busy Sunday afternoon but service was quick and food excellent. We even saw that they did amazing looking take away lunches.
Met with my family half way between the North and south. Highly recommend a visit.

Amazing food (stopped for lunch), lovely staff, great atmosphere. However, £4.50 for a pint of lime and soda is beyond ridiculous!

Wonderful lunch, friendly service, excellent beer (tried the Black Sheep and JHB) and very friendly service. Set in a beautiful village, what more could you ask for!
