The Dog & Duck

A wonderful, relaxed atmosphere with very tasty food. Had a blue cheese and bacon burger, and a full rack of ribs. Well prepared and a pleasure to eat. Beer was cold, and the ice cream refreshing. We shall definitely return to the Dog and Duck. Need to book this time. Wait was a little long but it was a very busy time for the staff. And again, we returned and had a fantastic meal. Booking was easy , and the service was perfect.

Lovely location, the staff were very professional and tentative. They were some of the friendliest people we've came across.

We popped in here after go ape. The flavours of the dishes were well thought out and delicious. I would of given a 5 if they rendered the fat of the pork. This seemed a little lazy not being done. A bit of salt and a few scores would done the trick. If we are ever in the area again, we will be back and recommending you to people.

Lovely place and lovely food. Really enjoyed the vegetarian options and the outdoor seating area. They really have great gelato for dessert so will definitely come back!

Food and service is spot on. The only issue is the time it takes to get your food (maybe it was because we were a table of 9). Perhaps the menu is too extensive but not sure what you'd take off it.

We were staying in the local area and went twice within a week. First time I had the full rack of ribs and second time the hot & spicy chicken burger. Really enjoyed them both and the kids loved the mocktails.

Visited Saturday night, delicious food and very well presented. Probably the best fish sharing board I've ever had! Great selection of drinks and very tasty cocktails expertly prepared. Staff very polite and extremely attentive. Would definitely visit again if in the area. I would give a 6 star review if possible!

Parked here to do the Kings Clipstone Circuit walk, and booked a table for afterward.
Food was absolutely stunning, and really very reasonable for the quality. Came to about £60 for two mains, two desserts and a pint each. Sadly we couldn't tip on card, but the service was very good. Would definitely come back if we were in the area again!

Staying at Forest Holidays and hugely recommend the 15 min wall to this pub/restaurant. The decor inside is really nicely done and the food itself is absolutely amazing. One of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. Perhaps not the cheapest but totally worth every penny. They also do cocktails but was too stuffed to try them!!
