The Red Lion, Llandybie

Last nights we called for a meal and was very disappointed with the all the meals. The chips were crispy and tasteless, and the childs meal (lasagne) was hard and lumpy, the gammon was nice but the onion rings were also greasy, the only good thing were the saute potatoes. No effort was made overpriced for what we had, will not be returning again and would not recommend to anyone

Made to feel very welcome for a family meal with our 8-month old daughter. Service and food was prompt, and the Messy Mexican burger was to die for!

Really welcoming local pub. Nice selection of drinks available and food looked great. Suggest cooking as was really busy.

Sunday lunch very nice. Quite a limited choice but portions were generous.

WOW, we took friends to The Red Lion last night and we all had a wonderful experience. Firstly, parking was easy. The staff immediately on walking in we're friendly and basically lovely. Drinks were excellent my wife tried a new flavour of gin, she enjoyed two! The food was just perfect. I had the Surf & Turf, the steak was blue/very rare and cooked perfectly, which is not easy, and plentiful. My wife had the Mexican Chicken Burger, it was beautiful too.
The chips are special!
All this for a very, very reasonable price too, just excellent.
To top it off my car's battery died in the car park. The boss (sorry didn't get his name) gave me a jump start too. Thank you so much.
