The Old Fire Station

Reluctant to post this in case too many people find out about it, but honestly folks, if you’re lucky enough to be mobile enough, forget about crowded, rushed-off-their-feet Ripley Hospital, and come here for your blood test instead. Short waiting times, friendly service. (No disrespect of the wonderful staff at Ripley intended, just the long waiting times).

Forgot to mention the fantastic friendly nurses always happy to help with anything great team 🤗

Visited for the first time today & I have to say it’s an excellent service. The young dark haired lady who took my blood was lovely and friendly. Took the time to chat and put me at ease. Thank you ladies keep up your excellent work x

In my opinion the blood collection service provided is exemplary. The environment is as Covid secure as possible. My appointments have been on time. The staff are friendly and efficient and I am never left with bruising nor do I feel any scratch or pain during the procedure.

Had to go get blood tests for being a possible stem cell donor....i did'nt know how involved the process was but Stacey (i think that was her name...she has the same birthday as me 31/01) was very patient and made me feel right at ease.

If you don't want anyone seeing you get your blood taken or if you don't want to see others get thiers taken this isn't the place for you. All waiting area chairs face looking onto the 2 chairs where they take your blood. I had to turn my chair so I couldn't see it being done. And I felt uncomfortable that others could see me having mine taken. Other than that the nurse taking the blood was super nice so no complaints there and the second nurse looked lovely too, just the set up that bothered me.

It is nice and professional place to get your blood tests. It took my wife max. 10 minutes to see a professional. Well worth a visit. Well done to all.
