Hook Fish and Chips

Very decent chippy. Tables available so you can eat in. Mushy peas were a bit watery, but still nice. Would be 5 stars if they had better peas, but the main thing is the fish.

These are the best fish and chips in Exeter. fresh tasty fish and soft tasty potatoes are not dry like in other restaurants. I love this place very much. Спасибо.

I didn't buy chips, but saw a customer's order for some ,looking very good and large portions
Very good prices as well.
The shop is very spacious and spotless clean.
When in town and fancy fish and chips, this is the place.
Otherwise, parking charge right in front of the shop.

We tried Hook after reading the mixed reviews of the new Krispies in Exeter. We ordered a large cod and cheesy chips, with four salt and pepper squid. The fish was an excellent sized portion and very well cooked, crispy and hot. The chips were also delicious. Overall it is five stars for its fish and chips - we will go back. However, I think £1.70 for cheese is the most I've paid at a chippy and the squid were not worth getting.

Firstly haddock was great, freshly cooked with a light crispy batter and great flavour not greasy at all, fish had a nice "steamed" flavour 👍. That's the main event. Free lemon and tartare sauce.
I did dine in at no extra cost. Portion was suitable and I couldn't eat all of the chips 😃 curry sauce was good if not a little salty. Chips were great and staff were nice.

We ordered a feast from out favourite fish and chip shop tonight, through a delivery company and forgot to specify our salt and vinegar requirements...I phoned direct through to Hook and was so very pleased with their service!
The friendly member of staff ensured he knew my specific preferences and made sure that the food that was prepared and served was to the best ever standard. It was quite possibly the tastiest fish and chips I've ever tasted...and I've had more than a few!!

Chunky, flavoursome cod, perfectly cooked chips and the perfect tasting curry sauce and mushy pea accompaniment!

Really good fish and chips, delivered really quicky. The onion rings are amazing. Fish was moist with big chunky flakes, chips were cooked to perfection.. top job
