The Only Way Is Fish

Ordered in person, told would be 10 mins for fish. Waited at least 20 mins, watching the chaos unfold. Every order was delayed, customers annoyed. Why are they cooking fish etc to order? Wasn't even that good once I'd finally got it home - Chips tasted old and fish was soggy. Poorly run and not cheap. Won't be using again

Shame date night ruined! Over cooked/ burnt sausage in batter, chips not very nice either been here twice first time was spot on, unfortunately we drove off to eat in the local park upon opening and eating a few chips I found a black curly hair I'm blonde my boyfriend I'd bald so not from us could not eat another bite shame now need to find another F & C shop .

Hi too let everyone know I found this chip shop on the off chance in Ongar and had lovely sausage and 🍟so went back Friday night,OMG talk about hit and miss,This time same order sausage was very over cooked probably refried absolutely inedible,chips were a let down too picked around with them and binned them.waste of money.yuk

Gone down hill…WAS absolutely amazing food delivered hot, fresh and correct.
Now order turns up items missing and definitely not freshly cooked.
Phone the restaurant to query missing items and get accused of lying by staff member.
Seriously would NEVER order from here again. Just lost a loyal customer.
Terrible service.

Was always my go to fish shop, not anymore. Chips like left overs refried, dry and overcooked. Fish ok but tartare sauce now Heinz pod which isn't worth having, just like mayo. Disappointed!! Wont bother again will be finding a new shop and wont be recommending them any more.

Gone very downhill since new owner taken over , overcooked haddock and £4:50 for supposed large portion of chips which were just dregs from bottom.of fryer also especially overcooked. Cant believe they have the cheek to sell them.Will not be back!

Food was good, but had to wait to be served as the young male person on the till was outside the back chatting with the women who were smoking out the back. When he did come to the till he just stood there and gave me a stare, with no "hello" or "what would you like". Just a long stare which was very strange and a bit creepy. He then took the order acting very much like he did not want to be there and could not be bothered, and could really be taught some customer service skills if working front facing on a till - even if its just giving a smile, asking people what they would like instead of just creepy staring, and acting like he was bothered would not have gone amiss. He was also the only one wearing a hoodie, unlike other staff which seemed to be wearing an official uniform. Very strange and despite good food, this odd situation has really made me consider not going back.

Been using this chip shop for 1 year & it has got worse & worse. The last straw was buying a regular portion of chips & driving all the way home to find a half empty box of chips that was just enough to feed a small child! Seriously, TOWIF get your act together! You serve the smallest portion of chips I’ve ever seen in life! Shocking
