First time here and very disappointed. Looks great but tastes awful, the fish is like clear mush inside the batter. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I really like my local fish and chip shop. I do not visit as regularly as I used to but the staff are always lovely and the food is always fresh

Waste of money. First time here and my cod tasted of nothing. Curry sauce tasted watered down and to top it all off they forgot my savaloy.
Won't be coming here again.

Great gluten free options on Saturday and Monday. Tastes just as good as regular people food.

Lost a few stars more recently due to quite erratic portion sizes. When asked for a medium chips and battered sausage, please don't put the sausage in the box also or I'm just paying extra to have less chips.

Well, I've been going to Zans for years and I normally rave about this chippy to friends and family. Not tonight though. I was extremely disappointed with my meal. Not only was the kebab meat chewy and tasted disgusting, but the chips we undercooked and half of them were rotten, to add insult to injury I asked and repeated salad no onion, and guess what....a nice handful of onions. The only things I did eat was the tomatoes and cucumber....maccies delivery it is👍🏼 won't be going to the spondon one again 😔

Stopped off for dinner after visiting Locko Park, instead of a McDonald's. Easy parking and access to store, which looked clean and tidy. Good range of menu options on offer, and they do have gluten free days as well. Prices seemed high for a chippy, certainly higher than my local, while the quality was a firm "ok". Nothing wrong, but decidedly average. In hindsight, if I'd gone for a 1/4 pounder meal at McDonalds, I'd have been just as satisfied but saved myself a few quid.

On the other hand, the food was hot, fresh and I ate it all, so it did the job. If you're passing and fancy fish and chips there are certainly a lot of places far worse.

I've been your client for almost 3 years, and it's always been 5 stars until tonight. What happened to the fish? It was awful...
