Newbridge Fish & Chips

Really nice food - big choice - fish, chicken, sausage, kebab meat etc. Choice of plain or battered chips with meal deals. Decent prices and always a lot of staff serving and cooking means that waiting times are small. Ticket system used for orders makes things simple. One of the best chippies in the area, recommended 👌

I started going to this one instead of the island house on the Stafford road, as last time I wasn’t given battered chips at the island house. I ordered battered chips today from the Newbridge and got half a bag a battered bits! Usually the Newbridge served great chips but to have half a bag of scraps it seems to be one extreme to another - would have preferred to be told they had run out of battered chips and had half and half. Not sure if I’ll risk it again! The few chips that were there were nice tho.

Chicked meat quality was awful battered mushrooms raw inside and missed kids meals and chips. Not impressed!

Five out of five for me. Had a sausage and chips dinner which was delightful. It’s been a long time since I have been to a “chippy” and got some good “salt n vinegar” chips with some batter ones at the bottom and the sausage was great really enjoyed it.
Price was cheap as-well, speedy quick service, spotless clean and great service from lovely smiling staff.

I think there has been a change of management and this place has gone from quite good to pathetic in a very short time.
I cannot believe a large fish was the size of a battered sausage. The chips were good and the large portion was very good.
I ordered the large Donner meat and got a small box which was not even 3/4 full. Absolute robbery. I am very suspicious of some of the favourable reviews here.

The large portion of Donna meat is a joke. Not value for money. Chips are okay. Much better options. Avoid.

1 of the best fish and chips u can get in Wolverhampton. The batter seasoning is amazing and they have a good range of fishes to try. You can have grilled or fried which is a great healthy option.
