The Golden Fish

Horrendous!! Virtually inedible cod. Never had such bad fish and saveloy's and will never go there again. I'm even thinking of taking this 'Cod' to trading standards to have it tested to see if it is cod.

got chicken nuggets and the chicken tasted like rubber. got the cheesey chips as well and the cheese tasted gone off. the woman who served us was impatient when we decided what we wanted

Batter that doesn't have sugar in it like most. The chicken eat and doner lovely tasting. And The lady who runs the chippy is so pleasent and kind. And everything is always cooked well x

Disgusted with my recent order of scampi and chips, only had 7 very small scampi for £6.50 nearly £1 each, arrived cold because of the salad put on top which was not ordered. Do not recommend this place, phoned to complain and they put the phone down on me.

Not the greatest fish and chips of them all which is a shame as the nice lady behind the counter is Greek.

Fresh, hot food. I have always found the ladies friendly and welcoming. I like that its local, good prices and portion sizes are good. I get Fish and chips for two people, we share a fish and one large Curry sauce and one large mushy peas comes to £10.40 which I think is reasonable for a chippy tea.

Absolutely Beautiful, was a bit worried about ordering after reading some of the reviews but im so glad I tried it for myself. Fish was Beautiful, fluffy and very hot when arrived. The chips were perfect too and the portions were big. Will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered from Golden Fish for the first time today. The donner meat was great, however the chips were like concrete. They were pipping hot, but tasted like they were reheated from breakfast. Disappointing for a proper chip shop. Wouldn't order from there again.
