Oakley Fish Bar

Been over to family in Corby today 3rd September 2022, not far from the chippy. I'm impressed as I always like to leave a truthful review! The fish was lovely flakey and tasted very fresh, the batter was to my liking as it wasn't too crispy cause I like soggy batter but it had a crispy outer with a fluffy inner and was spot on, the chips were really nice, fluffy too and they must have a bit smaller cutter as I prefer them like that rather than chunky chips, I had gravy with my fish and chips and it was nice too. My Aunty went to fetch them as she gets large chips and we all share them and she got large sausages which looked good but I didn't eat them. This was my first time eating from here and will definitely eat from here again. Well done as here the staff are really good too. 👍 Keep it up and thanks

I have used this chip-shop for years and years but have noticed their prices (like everywhere) are creeping up and up but to the point where a large chips are now £4.50

I understand everywhere is putting their prices up and the businesss are overcoming COVID issues but £4.50 for a bag of chips? Seriously? For some fried potatoes? Madness!!

It's a shame as I am now starting to feel like we are being a little bit ripped off as prices go up and yet portion sizes go down

The quality of the fish and chips have gone a very long way down hill recently. We have used this outlet on a fairly regular basis in the past but the last two visits have been very disappointing.
We only live a couple of minutes drive away but by the time we got home the fish was stone cold. Chips soggy and not that warm either.
With prices having risen yet again we will not be hurrying back.

Nice meal only thing I didn’t like was the mushy peas they looked terrible and tasted terrible they were very dark green. Not seem mushy peas this colour anywhere else looked a bit strange. Wouldn’t stop me returning, I just won’t get mushy peas

Great fish and chips. long queues though because phone orders seem to take precedence even though it's made when they arrive... it's like modern day queue jumping :)

Not happy with my today order:
Small chicken wrap and small donner wrap...
Asked for no onions, was a lot of it... no much any salat just lot of spicy chicken meat... couldn't even call it wrap 🤦‍♀️ very disappointed, wasted money 😒

These guys and all takeaways work their socks off this time of year. Always had nice food from this chippy.

This was really good, it had to be my first stop after flying in from Orlando, FL. I just needed a reminder of my childhood, and I sure enjoyed.
