Best fish and chips I’ve had in Cardiff.

Crispy batter, perfect chips, good portions.

Never had any issues, foods always been fresh and tasty. Treat yourself to a bag of onion rings for the journey home. Absolutely banging.

We live locally so have ordered from here for going on 7yrs now. What was previously the best fish & chips in Cardiff is now a bit 'meh'.

Chips are mostly still ok, though not on the level they used to be. The biggest issue is now the speed of service... or more so, the lack of speed of service. I am genuinely at a loss at how slow it is these days. The wait is regularly over 30mins, even when there are only a handful of customers in the queue. It's a real shame, as this was a bit of a hidden gem in Pontcanna.

We used to eat here almost once a week... but it's now probably once a month... every time it's a frustrating experience.

I live locally and have never been a person who likes curry but then I tried a chip with curry on from my partners plate and then loved there curry ate there for years then went there thinking he had new staff and order food got home and it was vile curry was a dirty dark orange colour and food swimming in grease binned the lot none of us liked it then found top Dec by Vicki Park there close to what rock and malts food use to be go there sadly this is no longer the passion in the food just some one making a quick buck serving grime

I’ve tried to like this place but it’s not possible. Below average food, above average prices, unhelpful and unfriendly service, long waits, minimum card spends and you have to wait outside as it’s too small.

Much better fish and chips a 5 minute walk down the road - Personal Cardiff favourites though are Fintans, Youngers or Yans.

I had two portions of fish and chips enough to feed an army, as usual you have to wait for the fish to be cooked but well worth the wait.
My favourite take a way by far

New owners, shocking service. After forgetting to order an item and spending what is already a lot for fish and chips to be told I need to spend another £5 to be able to use my card for forgotten item Is very poor. Old owner so welcoming and friendly, new staff not so much. With other equally as good establishments in the area I will not be going back.

Never really head to Cardiff, we did winter wonderland and my 4yr old daughter stated she wanted chips. Very specifically "from a chip shop"
Very good food, staff are friendly, chips were very nice and my daughter wanted more
