Dexters Take Out

So so disappointed in this place now. Ordered when it first opened and had beautiful, homemade burgers ( by that I mean mince and seasoning shaped in to a burger).We rarely eat takeaways as we object to paying for food we can usually cook better ourselves but that time we were really happy and it inspired us to do our own so I know how easy it is to do a good burger. The burgers tonight were frozen slabs that I would not expect from a burger van never mind from somewhere touting itself as gourmet!!! £60 for five and what a complete waste of money….if you want a good burger avoid like the plague….

I am sorry but that was not a homemade burger made in a burger press and was completely different to the burger we had two years ago. Flavour, texture meat quality….none of it was good….I make homemade burgers regularly and there is no way on this earth that did not come from a factory.

First time ordering from Dexters and I was impressed. Phil ordered the sea food platter, the squid was really good and the fish bite was a bigger portion than expected... great value for money at £8.95.

I ordered the 12" pizza and its was absolutely lovely. LOADS of toppings and didn't hold back on the cheese, again I found to be great value.

They put a new menu in the bag which states if you download the app you get 20% off first app order, that gorgeous pizza for £8.80 would be a bargain 😀

Said they were going to cook it fresh but the fish was soggy they said they had jumbo sausages and they send small burnt ones they said they had Irish curry and they send something completely different most of it went in the bin and theh used to be really good there but the last few times it's been shocking complete waste of money

Amazing potions for the price the best fish shop around pencoed. All the staff are welcoming and friendly.

Food was good, they didn't have everything in stock but what they did have was nice. Ordered online, took longer than expected for the order to be ready for collection. Staff were friendly on collection.

Chips were very greasy & soggy. Ordered a Irish curry sauce & a katsu curry sauce with our food, both tasted exactly the same with a strong vinegar tang. Had food a few months ago and it was decent, not now. There's only one chippy worth going to in pencoed and it's not Dexter's. If you know, you know.

The chips where super tasty. The burgers where 0ut of this world. It came cold but if you order out don't complain. Recommend highly x

First time trying Dexters today and the whole family were impressed. Thick beef burgers - tasted amazing! Salads freshly made. Coleslaws and sauces were good extras to the meal. The kids loved the fries and chip shop chips, all cooked to perfection. The mozzarella sticks, chicken nuggets and chicken strips all went down a treat. All the food was packed well and nicely served in the boxes. There was no fault with anything we had and for a family of 5 ordering Dexters got everything right on the order.
