Lawford Chippy

Recently visited the Lawford Chippy as I was in the area. Really enjoyed my kebab meat and chips. Really fresh and didn't have to wait long either. The new owners mentioned they owned chip shops in other areas and they have many years of experience. This was evident as the food was really good. Good luck to the new owners they seem like genuine and nice people. Support independent businesses is my motto 🙌🏽.

Amazing food! Very tasty and everything is cooked fresh as you order. Can be a little wait but that's exactly why I go there. You can tell the owners are very passionate about their food and business. Also very friendly x

Finally, a chippy that doesn't make you feel like you are eating grease. The fish is tasty, the chips are nicely done and the mushy peas are not a sugary lump of green. They are a bit runny, but tasty. Nice staff too. Chatty and friendly.

Food arrived quickly which was good considering the icy roads. Shame it was all cold but this can’t always be helped. It was nice that the shop read and acted on the note we left on just eat.

Saveloy and halloumi burger seemed to be over cooked, dry and flavourless. Chips were edible but very dark so I can only assume they were cooked in old oil as they didn’t seem over cooked. Wasn’t really a fan of the chicken kebab either although this was much better than the saveloy and halloumi burger!

Would I order from here again? Probably not.

Just been in there asking for battered sausage for £2 but the lady insisted it was £2.30 .
When I looked on the board it said £2
I Tryed explaining to her she said it's gone up today

Best Fish and Chips Ever!! Definitely worth making the trip for the food and service. This has become the new regular

The lady serving, was sitting eating and she was on the phone, so didn't speak straight away.
Very poor.
The food chips didn't look fresh, the curry wasn't chippy curry, far too spicy and hot for me. Won't go there again

Very greasy food and fish didn’t seem fresh, might of been a bad night for them but won’t order again
