The Ivy Fishhouse

Got lunch for the whole team. We were able to place the order online, choosing what time we wanted to collect and they had everything ready on time. Great service and tasty fish and chips.

Lovely food. Amazing portions. Just don't like the fact you can't ring and order. I mean it's a staple of a chippie... you ring up and order, walk in and pick it up. Seriously good food though. (I was going to give it a 3 because it annoys me... but the food is good so 4🤣)

We came from Poole in Dorset and stumbled across this place! We were hoping to eat in but the restaurant is open on certain days only!
The staff were friendly and clearly worked well as a team!
My wife and myself ordered the chicken and bacon burger while my 2 sons had a battered sausage and chips!
The chips were the BEST I've EVER had, too the point it compelled me to write this review!
My chips were crispy and delicious and the chicken burger royale, really excellent!
This chippy would make a ton of money in Poole!

Oh, we ate our food by the local river a really nice place to enjoy good food!

Unfortunately this will be the last time we get food from here as the last 2 times it has been disappointing and this time we
took our meal to the beach as a treat and my fish tasted iffy so I gave it to the Gulls, I had some chips and Unfortunately a few hours later I am feeling so sick and have vomited all of mine up.
Sick is an understatement.
Regretful times and a waste of money.

The food quality is lovely and staff very pleasant but since changes have been made, I can no longer order online, unless I register on Facebook. As NOT everyone is on Facebook, we are being placed at a disadvantage as are disabled people without Facebook who will have to wait in a lengthy queue! Additionally, no phone orders are accepted so again penalised. This is such a shame for good food!

They do really nice chips and burgers but it's a big same they're always shut so early all the time!

Decent chips, but the bloke who runs it needs to learn to speak to his employees better. Shameful behaviour - civility costs nothing.

Can’t fault them. Portions are always really good, foods always spot on - and its reasonably priced! Really can’t go wrong; because of the above, expect a queue - they don’t leave you waiting long though!
