Brit Chips

Decent little place for a quick bite of fish and chips. Friendly staff.
Small chippy with a small table bar inside with 6 seats and a few picnic benches outside. Food was delicious. We ordered the fish platter so had a bit of everything. We shared this between two and was more than enough we actually had chips leftover so took the rest home.
We ate inside by the window bar but was quite tight and not enough leg room.
There is also a sink that customers can use to wash hands.

Went here because of all the good reviews, chips weren't great to be honest greasy and a weird brown colour to them. I got there about 15 mins after opening time so I'm guessing they were recooked lunchtime leftovers. jumbo sausage in batter greasy. Curry sauce portion tiny and regular chips same size as large.

This is my favourite chippy in the area, I come from a small village between Bridgwater and Street just off the A39. I happily travel to Brit chips when I want fish n chips and have done for some time.

The chips are always great, not too greasy and cooked to perfection; they are delicious. I usually also have a fish cake and a normal sized sausage, both items are also delicious.

The staff are always welcoming and friendly, there is a good system in place for ordering and waiting with some outdoor seating. There is also limited indoor seating available.

I always choose to completely take away either enjoying my food on the sea front or taking them home to eat.

The menu is decent with plenty of options available, historically I have experienced a bit of a wait from ordering to receiving my food; I have never minded as I believe these are the best fish n chips around. On my latest visit my food was ready extremely quickly, it was just as excellent as usual.

Based on my experiences over a few years now I would definitely recommend you give this fish n chip shop a try. I’m willing to bet you won’t regret it!

Remembered this chippy from last year's holiday and it was just as terrific. Helpful and friendly staff. Even offered a wedge of lemon. Never had that ANYWHERE! Crispiest batter we've ever had, delicious cod, lovely chips. Even the mushy peas were better than anywhere we remember. Already looking forward to next year. I think this family work really hard to provide a truly first class service.

Lovely little fish and chip shop just hid away down the side street just off Burnham front!! The staff are very friendly and kind and the chips are amazing! Cooked perfectly,crispy yet soft! Taste just how chips should in a sea side town!Best chippy in Burnham,well worth a visit while you are here!

I have just finished the best fish and chips that I have had in a long time!
I ordered medium chips and Haddock, the chips were lovely and well seasoned and the Haddock had the right thickness of batter and was not greasy.
Hands down the BEST chippy in Burnham-on-Sea by far!!!!

Absolutely amazing fish and chips. This photo is the gluten free fish and chips. The batter is crispy and tasty and chips perfectly cooked. They really understand the requirements for Coeliac disease.
Excellent social distancing procedures in place. One customer inside at a time. When you order you get a bleeper to tell you when your order is ready to collect so all customers can stand outside and wait safely.
We will be back again.

Popular place due to the good fish and chips and decent portions. Ill happily wait for freshly cooked as it makes all the difference to the taste and both fish and chips were crisp and tasty.

Gravy was good and thick just as it should be, curry was good mild and was enjoyed by my wife. Good meal sets which many other chippys don't offer.

Good common sense covid safety precautions taken in store.

Staff are busy and businesslike, what else would you expect when they're constantly busy.
