Crisp & Fry Pontyates

Have always enjoyed this chippy over my local in crosshands. But unfortunately tonight's was disappointing. Fish was okay but the chips were nowhere near ready, if you can tell by the photos it was like eating raw potatoes. Hopefully it will be better next time otherwise that's 2 crisp and frys I won't be going to.

Chicken nugget was different but its a winner for kids overall all perfect keep on up x

Chips truly horrific, totally overcooked and just awful, fish batter was just soggy, first and last time coming here.

My sister and I popped into Crisp & Fry, as we were hungry. The rissoles were absolutely scrumptious, well worth a try if your passing. So next time we are in Pontyates it's rissole time.

Called in for first time last night. Staff were welcoming and friendly, food was lovely, table service was great.

Typically it's hit and miss, very good or not. When it's busy service is very slow and the standard seems to fall and the food is mediocre. One day I waited around 20 minutes to be served and another 10 to 15 to actually get the food.

In saying that though, if you catch them where there is no queue then they are literally the best chips you can eat and the staff sometimes on a good day have a chat and are happy.

Great staff friendly service and good choice of meals, food was lovely will definitely call again, downloaded the app, which you get everywhere
