Tonteg Fish Bar

One of my favourite chip shops in the area. Chips are always hot and thebportion sizes are very good.

They have a lot of sauces including about 4 different curry options. Doesn't open until half 5 though in the evening which can be a pain.

I don't understand the high ratings sorry. The staff are lovely and the chips are ok but the fish I had tonight was shocking. Very, very overcooked, batter like concrete and tough, rubber like fish. I do not leave harsh reviews lightly but this is the second time it has happened. Sorry, I won't be back....for fish at least.

Just sold chips to my 11 year old daughter at 17.30pm opening time but chips were definately not fresh and were obviously left from lunch time. Most of them were small and crispy and over saturated. Very poor.

Went in on a lunch time and I ordered fish and chips and I was not impressed with what I got. Was under cooked, the chips were not nice and the batter and the fish was soggy. It was only another customer and I in there, so there is really no excuse for not cooking the food properly.

It was the first time I tried this place and it will definitely be the last. It was overpriced for what it was even if it had been cooked properly, but as it wasn't, it was just a total waste of money. Avoid!!

Waited a long time and food wasn't great. Chips were fresh, but sausage in batter must have been put back in the fryer a couple of times as it was very chewy. Won't be going back, will stick to my usual chip shop

Thr fish I had was very poor. Very small and overcooked batter. Chips and sausage was grear.

I had put & chips...the pie was only just warm & chips weren't cooked properly.. ( some of them ) and the other were full of black eyes...and hard
