Liked: Staff were helpful, friendly and informative. The pitch, fishing and facilities were excellent. The cafe was great too, lovely food and service.
I took my son fishing and camping for one night and we loved that we could pitch right up to the lake. We had a brilliant time.
Shower/toilet blocks were clean and in excellent condition.
The fishing, cafe and camping were all priced fairly. I would recommend and we'll be back!

Liked: The place is a gem! It's gorgeous, so beautiful 😍. Staff are so kind welcoming helpful and friendly. Nice quiet place loved to watch the fishermen and women. We were able to feed the fish too which was a highlight for all of us.
Excellent place and really clean well presented toilets and showers too.
Can't wait to visit again ...very soon.

Liked: We had a wonderful week In our camper van here.
James is a brilliant host and couldn’t do enough to help everyone, always with a smile and excellent knowledge and conversation.
The food in the cafe is delicious and is a must for any visit. The site itself is beautiful and very well looked after.
With great walks and mountain bike trails just a short walk/drive away not to mention the great fishing on site. A superb place for families and couples a like.
We will most definitely be staying again.

Liked: Everything about this site is perfect/amazing. Would highly recommend. Staff/cafe/fishing/tent pitch is outstanding. The toilets and showers were very clean and like brand new - best shower block at a campsite I have ever stayed at.

Liked: The family that ran the site were very friendly and extremely helpful. The food served in the cafe was very good. The bell tent we stayed in was clean, tidy and well equipped. The outside cooking area was great, I’m even thinking of building one myself! The bed was comfy and the duvet very warm. We loved the peace and tranquillity of the whole site but especially the area that the bell tents where in.
Would definitely book again, but next time I would bring my fishing rods as well 👍

I had the most amazing night away with my husband here on Saturday. We stayed in the bell tent which was so lovely, the decor was perfect and the bed was so comfortable. We had a lovely evening and the hot tub was great.
Shout out to Hannah and James who were so helpful with us checking in and out etc.
The breakfast in the cafe the next morning was 10/10. We both had the large breakfast and brownies to take away.
Can't wait to go back again!

Liked: Lovely location opposite a beautiful forest good for cycling/walking.
Delicious breakfasts in the on-site cafe.
Clean shower block with hot showers.
Great on-site fishing lakes and well-stocked fishing tackle shop.
Really lovely family run business (thanks George and Steve for all the fishing help and advice).
Plenty of plug sockets at each cafe table for phone charging.
Great picnic tables for each tent.

Disliked: No freezer for freezer blocks.
Wi-Fi is pretty none-existent except in the cafe.
A little shop staying open with essentials would have been handy for campers.

Liked: Site was lovely,made to feel welcome the second you arrived,nothing too much trouble! Firewood delivered to your tent each night,fire pits for hire too.Amazing scenery,lots of walks!! Everywhere was spotless,toilets and showers were cleaned regularly.Cafe on site was lovely,amazing homemade scones,takeaway available too.
Lakes to fish in were lovely,well maintained and organised,plenty of fish to be caught too!!
We will definitely be returning,such a chilled out bank holiday,loved it.

Disliked: Maybe think about recycling bins
