I remember this from 40 years ago. We user to go swimming there from our local primary school St James the Less. The back wall had a muriel of a huge shark..Absolutely terrified me at the age of 7 years old. Always reminded me of jaws. So I refused to go in the big pool..Stayed in the baby pool. Years later I've always wondered if that was my reason that I never learnt to swim. Haha. Fond memories though

For a small leisure centre, the pool is a good size and the family swim is never overcrowded but always full of families having a great old time. A great local pool and fitness centre.

Freezing cold water and barely any room as something is always going on. Men walking around womans changing room. Don't feel comfortable changing or swimming here. Gym is OK though, staff don't seem bothered about anything. Couldn't even wear my locker band it kept coming loose, 20p each time you lock your locker too.

I don't use the gym so can't comment on it. I do use the swimming pool and never have any problems with overcrowding. There are some occasions when swimming lessons are going on in the main pool so they section off part of the pool. Not really a hassle most of the time. Changing rooms are average but can be annoying when the light which is in a sensor switches off and the sensor is at the other end of the changing room. Lockers are 20p nonrefundable. I use the pool several times a week and buy a 12 swim pass which is the price of 10 swims.

Great facilities including swimming pools, exercise clases, gym, spa facilities too, coffee lounge, etc.

Great gym, swim facilities, knowledgable staff, clean freindly environment.

Went on Saturday with grandson and daughter, pool turned down hardly any heating on in the changing rooms, granddaughter was shivering so had to come out, and to top it off only the cold drinking machine was working 😤will not be returning.
