The Gym Group Chelmsford

Inexpensive gym at £16.99 a month, open 24/7.It is split across two levels, with the free weight area downstairs. It has dumbbells up to 30kg, a smith machine and a standard bench.
The cardio equipment and assisted weights are found upstairs. There are running machines, rowers, steppers and cross trainers.

There are no swimming facilities and towels or shower gels are not provided.
Even though this is a budget gym, it doesn't feel that way as the equipment is clean, staff are friendly and should cater to most peoples' needs.

Fantastic gym to have workout in and also clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the classes are always good and you can have a laugh with the staff. One of the staff call Clare was so helpful to me and Cedric was amazing help as well in reaching my gym goal. Highly recommend gym

I use this gym mainly at night. It's always extremely clean and generally a nice around experience. The only thing I would say that could be better is all the cardio machines feel a bit dated(they all look like they have first generation iPhone connectors attached). If it wasn't for this it would get 5 stars

Decent gym as it has some good equipment but you can only get free parking between 5pm-10pm which knocks its rating down significantly.

Very reasonable monthly fee, friendly and approachable PTs, clean and well-maintained gym. Good range of equipment, although some machines are now starting to show their age.
Loses one star as nothing is being done to address the growing number of members who, with no regard for the equipment or the disturbance caused to other gym users, repeatedly drop and crash the weights on the strength-training machines.
Would be happy to recommend to friends and family were it not for this issue.

Great Gym has almost everything you need. Its clean, well maintained and very well priced.

Nice spacious gym, all the equipment you would need, very budget friendly and really helpful staff at this site in particular. Manager Ed seems to go above and beyond when helping me with technical joining issue. Nice man. Friendly clientele here and no judgement. Would definitely recommend - great value for money. You can almost always get a bench when you want one which is why I left previous gym. Who wants to finish work to queue up for equipment? None of that here. Plenty of machines too.

Been to many gyms in Chelmsford over the year's and this is the best. Big space to train and change in with lots of kit and great staff. All the classes included in the price. And 2 hours free parking in the evening really suits my needs.
