Been going there for a month now, between 6 - 8 am. Staff are friendly, pool is NICE, Jacuzzi has worked every time I've been there. Probably busy because it is in the City - obvious (if you go to a bank in the City surprisingly that will also be busy, or a restaurant or ANYWHERE else ;) ). Cant fault it and will be joining soon. Haven't used the gym equipment, but it looks new, well laid out and clean (otherwise I would have given 5 stars). There has always been s shower that has been available and plenty of locker spaces.

On the positive side, the equipment is modern and only rarely broken. The pool and spa are clean and maintained although the jacuzzi is sometimes off for no apparent reason. Lockers are easily operated with a wristband. The staff is friendly and ready to help. On the negative side some members don't respect basic hygiene, don't take shower before swimming or after a sauna session.

The equipment is varied and in good condition. However, the facilities are often under maintenance (pool, spa) and the staff are not as helpful as they could be (spend more time chatting to each other than helping members on the floor). I emailed the manager on a couple of occasions to discuss my concerns but never received a response. Given the monthly membership costs, I would recommend a different gym.

Joined up to this gym after looking around different clubs in Liverpool st and it's exceeded everything I needed and more. Gym instructors know exactly what they're talking about and have helped so much. Facilities are brill and i always get a great workout with the classes. Pool/sauna/steam room are just heaven. Definitely recommend.

I was hesitant to sign up to this gym based on some of the previous reviews being so negative. I've been going to Bannatyne for five months now and have to say I've never seen them run out of towels! The team here are helpful and friendly, especially the cleaning staff. Equipment is kept in good condition, I've never seen any weights missing or any machines out of order. Twice the jacuzzi has been under maintenance, but that's not why I got a gym membership to be honest. The smaller amount of members compared to local gyms means it's nowhere near as busy - I use the gym between 4-8:30 mainly and haven't had to wait for any cardio equipment/weights. Would recommend.

Awful company and customer service. After being a loyal gym member for over a year and a half I gave 30 days notice to leave and they are now chasing me for debt when I am leaving due to maternity leave and way past my year contract. Disgusting way to treat loyal customers and definitely will not be returning after my maternity leave! Avoid this gym and their customer service at all costs..

Nice facility. They provided a wrist band as a fob which I find unique. Cardio area is spacious. Free weights area is also adequate with squats racks and cable machines etc. The pec deck fly machine was missing. Showers facility was missing moisturizer and the swim dryer wasn't working. Couldn't find water station but they provided a bottle for free.
Overall, at par with Nuffield and fitness first.

Can't knock it, fantastic gym in the middle of the city with a nice Steam Room, Sauna and Pool.

Been coming on and off for about 5 years, I'd say it's the best value for money gym in the city.

For those that think it's expensive, 2 doors down there's a Virgin Active that costs nearly double.
