What a great experience from beginning to end! The consult was excellent with solid suggestions. I had done significant research and gotten 5 quotes before choosing Innovative Designs. They were the quickest in terms of time frame, cost effective compared to leading competitors and the quality of materials was very high. The installation took a day, they were so quick and professional. They took the time to check that things were going as I wanted. I highly recommend this friendly professional team.

Good product but could be a better process. Firstly, I’ll start with the positive. We are really happy with the wardrobes in our bedroom. They look great and seem well made. However, there just a few issues along the way. Easy fixes that would make it perfect. Firstly the fitting window is just a bit weird. We got a 5 day window as were told it could take that long, but then the fitters turn up at midday and say they’ll finish that day. Predictably they’re not but that’s fine right, as they’ll come back tomorrow given our massive fitting window. Apparently not. They need to be on another job??? Eventually they finish the fitting the week after. Then just a few gripes about the finishing. See photo. Exposed mdf, just looks a bit rubbish when the rest looks so good. Manufacturing issue that can’t be solved apparently. They did supply some paint (not quite a match), but I had to do this myself. Also the screw covers were not put on at fitting. Again, needed to do this myself as posted after fitting.
Anyway, all in all, we got a good product at a decent price and the guys at ID are very nice and do their best so sort the issues. It could just be done in a slicker way.

I engaged Innovative Designs based on the great reviews. My initial query was responded to immediately and I found the responsiveness and communication a consistent positive through my project. Initially I just wanted a couple of shelves in the existing built ins but was guided to consider properly replacing. I had recently purchased my flat and it was very sound advice. I had two full sets of built ins replaced in the hall and bedroom. The previous storage was inadequate and a poor use of space. The new fit out meant I could store everything without needing any other freestanding furniture. The designer had great ideas and brought good practical recommendations around the colour scheme and finish (ease of cleaning etc.). I had an idea about an office and she created a fantastic design in the spare room that also catered for the double bed And extra storage. Ceylan was great to work with and super patient as I adjusted the design, colour schemes etc. Once agreed, the process was kick started. There were minor delays, yes, however I think anyone doing any construction has to appreciate the global logistical issues Every building company is experiencing so it was fine given the context. The fitters arrived promptly and very nice. While there a few obstacles around the design, they were managed and Baz even came to my apartment to make sure there was a solution I would be happy with. Again, there are bound to be hurdles when it’s a big project but how they are managed is what is important. The built ins are absolutely fantastic - great craftsmanship and v high quality materials. The drawers are heavy and glide smoothly. The mirrored panes are so well fitted. I had an issue with the most minor resistance and was adjusted to slide perfectly. I couldn’t recommend this company highly enough. It was so apparent that the clients’ happiness and the quality of the work is front and centre in everything they do. I thought the price was very good value - I had 3 projects so was able to agree a slightly reduced all in cost (sorry Baz 😉). My kitchen is next and I will 100% be using Innovative Designs again. ***Not the greatest photographer so these images don’t really do the cupboards and office justice!!

Unfortunately my experience with this company wasn't as positive as other reviewers on here.

Firstly, the designer who visited and drew up the wardrobe was very attentive and patient with my requests and questions. Granted, as I am an architect I had already designed and drew up the wardrobe myself, so it was really the final checks to put it into production that needed to be done. Due to a bit of inexperience, there were certain things they should have known and told me which I didn't find out until the installation. For example, the original design was for the wardrobe to be open with no backing, however, when it arrived it had a backing and I was told that's how they are always made. Secondly, the original design had a single continuous shelf along the top which I was told was fine, but just before installation I was told it needed to be three separate divided shelves. Whilst not game-changing, it highlighted the inexperience and and lack of communication between the design team and manufacturing team.

Now to the installation. The gentlemen that came to install the wardrobe was very nice and worked hard, but the professionalism and finished quality I must say was fairly average.
For whatever reason, there was only every one person that came to work on it, despite being given the impression there would at least be two. This drew out the time it took to actually finish the job. Initially I was told 2-3 days, but it ended up taking 5. Because this was the wardrobe in our bedroom, we were having to sleep in the hallway on our mattress until it was complete. I understand my particular project was tricky because it required removing the existing wardrobe which took longer than anticipated, but this also lead onto my next issue.
That being that he didn't come on consecutive days to work. He came the first, but not the second, the third but not the fourth, and then the fifth to finish. When I spoke to the company about it, they said that this was normal and the estimated 2-3 in the initial email states this, even though it does not.
He also came at very irregular hours to work. On two of the days he arrived in the middle of the afternoon and stayed till very late, despite saying he'd be there earlier. I understand that he lived quite far, but again, it's very unprofessional. If you know it takes a few hours to get somewhere then you should account for that in your timing. He did work had but at the same time didn't really do himself any favors by starting at 3pm.
As mentioned earlier, my project was trickier because it also included the removal of the existing built-in wardrobe. Admittedly this was a task that took longer than anticipated, however, I was aware of and communicated this explicitly during the design phase. What also made it take longer was the fact that he didn't come prepared with the right tools. Not only this, no protective coverings were used on the carpet, resulting in lots of plasterboard dust on the floors and dents on the walls and even ceilings. Also, he didn't bring his own vacuum, and instead used ours to clean all the plasterboard dust from the floor which clogged it up and made us have to take it apart to clean it all out. This is rather unprofessional as any tradesman should carry the tools and equipment they need for the job.
Lastly, the general quality of the finished product is fairly average. A lot of the panels have chips on the edges, some of the joints aren't cleanly finished, the drawers aren't evenly space and the green marker used to label the panels doesn't come off very easily.
Probably most frustrating though is the fact that the drawers on one side actually knock the door when opening them, and I have to push the door every time to allow them to clear it without hitting and potentially damaging the door panel. The gentleman did come back to try and fix them as initially they were clashing much worse, but the fact I'm still having to do this signifies pretty sloppy work and a failure to properly and accurately measure before executing.

Overall, I wouldn't recommend them again.

I had a wonderful experience. The team were professional in manner and very accommodating to my needs. I wanted an L shape wardrobe design at first but due to some room technicalities that was unavailable so they suggested another design but I was very happy with this suggestion. I would certainly recommend them and will be using again.

I ordered and fitted an imposing built-in wardrobe through Innovative Designs and we are very happy and more than satisfied with our choice. From designing to the fitting, the whole journey was smooth and flawless. Rushil listened to my design requirements and came with very interesting propositions, the whole team behind her was also of good support. The fitting job took some days as it was quite an important one, and we had to make a few adjustments along the way. We had a good communication with the whole team and these adjustments made the whole product even better, so we are very delighted with the experience. Very good quality product at competitive prices, and we would work with them if we had too!

This bespoke fitted wardrobe company offers a wide range of wardrobe designs. The service was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I was pleased with the price.
The individual that came out to measure and price my job was extremely accommodating, well-dressed, and pleasant.
This is my second wardrobe from them. Great selection of high-quality items. Staff was quite helpful. Although the interiors appear to be limited, there is a good selection of doors in a variety of colours.
