Hampshire Aeroplane Club

Just finished some training here. Lee-on-the-Solent is a good airfield to fly from: good long tarmac runways, no waterlogging, and yet not too busy for an effective training environment. Hampshire Aeroplane Club is friendly, and the quality of tuition is excellent. The instructor I was with was a former airline pilot and had a wealth of additional experience and knowledge which helped me learn to a higher standard - plus plenty of "war stories".

Awesome trial flying lesson, managed to see the Isle of Wight from and the spinnaker tower. Started doing lessons now.

Went up in a Cessna as a passenger while my son was having a trial lesson. I must admit, if looks fun! We had nicely controlled flight over the local area, so time for a bit of sightseeing by passenger and a good sample of flight handling for the proto-pilot. Recommended.
