Hoff Aviation Ltd - Helicopter Training Centre

My 98 year old Mum had a 30 minute trial lesson with Hoff Aviation last week. She absolutely loved it! The instructor, Alex Hoff, was excellent and looked after my Mum very well. We were very happy with the whole experience.

Alex is an absolutely fantastic instructor. I have done 15hrs towards my private licence so far and have hugely enjoyed every lesson, while progressing at a good pace. Because Alex is so experienced he is able to effortlessly tailor the course to each student's individual needs, while making the whole thing feel safe, fun and purposeful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex to anyone - he is the best in the business.

Alex stepped in to get my R22 type rating wrapped up as my local school were unable to complete it and the deadline was rapidly approaching. He pulled the stops to get it finished in time organising paperwork and examiner perfectly.
From the get go Alex taught me a few things I’d not come across so just goes to show he knows what he’s doing. He knows what you need and makes every effort to get you where you need to be, doesn’t make a bad cup of tea either. 😜
If you are looking to step into aviation as a career or just want a pleasure light then Alex is your man – no sales spiel, just consistent great training, friendly banter and all the support you need. 10/10

Easily the best flight experience I have done .Alex is a very knowledgeable pilot and has a good way of explaining in easy to understand chunks.
I spent a large proportion of my hour flying and not simply covering the controls .Alex demonstrated a simulated engine failure landing. I had a good amount of time practicing pedal control,Collective ,cyclic controls and attempting to hover! Strongly recommend.

STILL BUZZING
Was bought a helicopter experience for a birthday present and it was truly an amazing experience (never flown a helicopter before)
Everyone at Hoff were a pleasure to deal with and Charlie my instructor was very clear & patient throughout the whole experience.
We flew much further afield than I was expecting and to be trusted with taking control of the helicopter during my first flight was very exhilarating.
Will be back to progress further on a pilot licence.

Great location near London and the South East and the aircraft to learn on, the R22 helicopter, is the most affordable training option for new pilots. Alex Hoff spends a lot of time discussing and briefing pre-flight and demonstrates the helicopter very professionally. The views over Surrey and the surrounding countryside were excellent and it's fun to fly low and slow around the airfield. Recommended.

What an experience! I have had two lessons so far and Alex has made flying really enjoyable. His relaxed style and attitude to teaching makes the whole time in the air a pleasure. I am eager to get back flying with him again as soon as possible. Also, he was very accommodating with regard to my family watching from the sidelines.

Had a 45 min lesson / experience with Hoff. Brilliant time, nice bloke. Everything explained really well and made to be a fun experience. Would thoroughly recommend !
