bought the Choc fudge Brownie and Farmhouse fruit cakes and they were awful. The picture shows the choc one nice and shiny, moist, when in face it's so dry it crumbles as you cut it. They were cheap, so it's true you get what you pay for. The rest of the cakes are going to the birds tho I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't like them either. Pity

Bought an Apple & Raisin cake from the Pearls brand, and can honestly say its the best I've ever tasted. lovely with a dollop of ice cream, just right for a quick dessert. I'm certainly going to try the rest of the range

I am a regular buyer of Pearls cakes and I bought a Choc Fudge Brownie cake and Iced Bakewell Tart at the weekend which I enjoyed immensely , absolutely fantastic products , far superior to the so called "exceedingly good " Mr Kipling range , can`t praise them enough.

The iced Bakewell tart was possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted, a chemical cocktail of industrial flavours that bore no resemblance to the claim on the box "a seriously delicious IBT made only with the finest ingredients". Buyer beware

Bought a pearls chocolate chip muffin from my local Nisa store and it was the most horrendous tasting thing I've ever had. Not only was it stale despite being it date, it also tasted overwhelmingly of Aniseed.

I have emailed them to complain but so far no response

Purchased Farmhouse Fruit cake from the local corner shop . I normally bake but Sunday ran away with us .. Well it looks nothing like the packet, stodgy to the point of not being cooked. Vile. One bite ,straight down the waste disposal unit and even that struggled ...Buyer beware this is not sponge cake. Not sure what it is but Paul Hollywood would not be shaking my hand if I made it

Bought a pearls Bakewell tart 125g and was absolutely astounded to find it contained a whopping 59.2g of sugar that is not healthy at all very disappointed will not be buying again.

Their blackcurrant bakewell tarts are amazing. Best I ever have tasted. 10/10.
