Great place to park, which is free, and walk the Parkgate parade. Take your binoculars as this area is superb for birdwatching!

The old Baths at Parkgate are an ideal place to take in the breathtaking views across the River Dee towards North Wales, you can stand in ore watching the bird life and mammals that live on the salt marshes.
The Best time to see a spectacular event is high tide where you can see hundreds of thousands of birds, voles, mice and foxes hunting and evading capture.
From here you can take a walk along the front at Parkgate and take refreshments including some of the best ice cream in the north west at The Parkgate Ice Cream shop.
You may also decide to walk the Wirral way an old railway line linking Hooton to the south and Westkirby to the North.

Lovely place to visit, great bird watching opportunities and some nice little cafes for a cuppa not too far away

Beautiful little picnic area, with spectacular views across the Dee Estuary. Seems to be a popular spot for bird watchers, worth a visit & free parking too.

I entered Parkgate from Neston and didn't see any signs for this car park so ended up parking on the main road and walking. It's a useful location for trying to observe the birds on the marsh and there were several people already there with binoculars and cameras. No amenities and I didn't see any lighting so this rather isolated car park could be a rather dodgy place to be after dark.

Very busy morning until early afternoon due to high tide and bird watchers gathering for apparently two of the best days of the year to spot birds. Nice spot to sit or walk and good free car park when you can get a space
