Free parking on the date of posting (June 2019). There are picnic tables and a scenic viewpoint at this site as well as trails on both sides of the A466. ~20 minute walk to Eagle's Nest scenic viewpoint.

Loved the lack of people, very peaceful and beautiful place. Saw a few deer and other wildlife which was a treat. Free parking and signage in both Welsh and English which was a nice surprise. Found a strange abandoned hut off of the beaten track, like something out of the Blair Witch Project, and an old bath tub with a hose coming out of it, creating a babbling stream through the scenery... quite bizarre but lovely. Hugged a tree, it seemed to like it, though didn't reciprocate, which I found to be quite rude

Amazing place. So worth the climb up the Eagle's nest trail. The forest feels ancient.

Lovely little spot and great walks but beware. My dog ate something and has spent the night in the vets on a drip from ingesting something toxic. If you take a dog be vigilant.
