Solent Funeral Directors

I came to this funeral directors, for the date of a funeral. I had seen the time listed in the paper but I wanted to double check, as I was over thinking I may have got it wrong. However, when I asked I was given the wrong date and time, meaning if I had listened to the funeral directors I would have missed the funeral.

I also asked if writing a poem was a good idea as it had religious themes and I was concerned should it upset the family and was given a very harsh response, of "Well they couldn't be more upset then they are could they?" I was shocked by this harshness, as I thought funeral directors were suppose to be sympathetic, supportive and caring but I was wrong.

This company did also not respond to me, when I tried to get in touch. Overall very poor in customer relations terms and I wouldn't suggest anyone to use them, until they learn how to treat those coming to them properly.

The service I received was second to none . Caroline was so very supportive and made such a sad time much easier to cope with. I felt I was listened to and every detail I asked for was carried out with no further effort from myself, which was so very much appreciated. The presentation was faultless, carried out with military precision, as befitted my husband, dignified but so very human.
The celebrant presented a true and moving picture of the man he was talking about, which was commented on my many of the mourners.

Caroline looked after us from the minute we stepped through the door. She and the reception staff always made us feel welcome, even though we never actually made an appointment. The service and the costs were all explained fully and the funeral itself went without a hitch. The recommended celebrant, Martin, was also excellent.

I would highly recommend Solent Funeral Services to anyone.
We used them to arrange our Aunts funeral last week.
We live in the Midlands and had to ask them from a distance to sort all of what was required.
They were brilliant in every respect making a difficult time easy as it possibly could be.
From the white ensign on her coffin, to even dropping the family off after the service at the wake, and me at my abandoned car at the home where she last lived.
Kim, Arron and the team, even gave my wife and mother in law ( our Aunts sister ) flowers, and prepared a remembrance pack for them with photographs and keepsakes, which meant a lot to us.

This was my first experience with Lee on solent funeral directors, and I have to say they were amazing. They did a fantastic job from start to finish and supported me throughout.
