Would not recommend. Funeral directors on the day of the funeral were excellent but the staff in the shop were without compassion, we received no support. In hindsight we should have gone to an independent family run company as the staff in the shop were no more than salesmen.
A very bad experience that I would not wish on anyone else, The staff in the branch made our grief far worse by their incompetence and uncaring manner.
You only get one chance, choose somewhere else.

From start to finish the care I received for my still born daughter was more than I could of asked for or expected. Georgia was the person who I was arranging everything with and she questioned me about every single detail over the two weeks spent planing. Although these phone calls were hard to have I knew it was to make sure everything was done right once I had given the hospital details Georgia cooperated with them with ease, I was worried how would I get coop the hospital and the cemetery all the be on the same page but Georgia sorted it all out for me. When my daughter was finally in their care I was called and given a list of the clothing she was wearing every single item she had with her and then questions about how the burial will take place eg dad carrying her & lowering her. On the day I am embarrassed to say I snapped at the two lovely girls who took us to the funeral, they had been told to take the cellophane off the flower lettering we had left the day before up there but I had then found out my mum hadn’t told them
Not to take it off. I’m someone who preaches that it’s not right for people to take their stress or pain out on another person and I did that on the day for a few moments. The reality of seeing my baby in her box & reading the inscription hit me like a tonne of bricks and something so silly as cellophane set me off. Not once did those girls show any form of aggression or annoyance towards me they kept completely poised and apologetic I felt so guilty driving up to the cemetery and couldn’t apologise enough yet even then they made excuses for my actions saying “it’s understandable today”. I went home still thinking about it and upset with myself as the whole process couldn’t have been dealt with by better people than the women at this funeral directors. I hope I don’t ever have to experience this again but if I did have another funeral to plan I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here. Thank you for making the hardest day of my life go smoothly and the extreme amount of efforts everybody went through to make it nothing short of perfect. You couldn’t hire anyone better than the women I have been lucky enough to encounter throughout this ordeal and I’m grateful that it wasn’t a stressful process, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

In these very stressful times the Coop were brilliant at helping me with my mums direct cremation. I would recommend them to anyone who needs an excellent service. It was my mum who said she was happy to let them take care of her when she was dying.
