After hearing various recommendations of Holmes & Family, we decided to work with them for my mother's funeral. It was an excellent service from start to finish, there were very accomodating, flexible and made us feel comfortable. The funeral was a huge success and their precision and professionalism on the day was outstanding. Thank you.

As soon as we met Michelle I knew we'd made the right decision choosing Holmes to take care of Dad's funeral. Michelle was kind, thoughtful and understanding, helping us through every step with great care, professionalism and sensitivity. On the day itself this impeccable service continued with Oliver and his colleagues calmly ensuring that the funeral went without hitch. What a truly lovely team of people who helped us give our Dad the best send off possible.

The care home where Mum spent her last couple of years recommended Holmes and Family and we are so glad they did. Oliver and Michelle and the other members of the team dealt with us so compassionately and never seemed to mind when we asked for last-minute changes. People they recommended, such as the florist and Jim the Celebrant turned out to be equally professional and considerate.
We wanted to make a fuss of Mum and hold a dignified, traditional funeral. Holmes and Family delivered that superbly.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Holmes & Family, especially Sarah, Alex and Oliver. They helped and guided me through every step of arranging a funeral with patience, humour and pragmatism. Nothing was to much trouble, from giving my dad a spritz of his favourite aftershave, driving him past his old haunts to ensuring his best red tango shoes were placed on his coffin. On the day, Alex was there for us, ensuring we had the time and space to say our goodbyes. Sarah and the team provided a professional but really personal touch to my dads funeral and made a difficult time much easier, and for that I thank them.

Everything about our contact with Holmes & Family has been exemplary - from our initial contact with Ollie, Sarah’s kindness and professionalism in managing our pre-funeral arrangements and Alex’s outstanding management of the funeral itself. He managed the ceremony with dignity, ‘held our hand’ through all the practical arrangements so that we were always prepared and knew what to do and what would happen, and was just a kind and discreet presence. Dane of course held the service together for us perfectly, and I have written to him separately to thank him for his kindness and calm.

To be able to show such compassion to complete strangers who walk into your office is an absolute gift - we are extremely grateful.
