They supported us throughout one of the most difficult times in life, gently helping us through the process, facing funeral arrangements etc. On the day of the funeral it was good to see Kerri's familiar face leading the way as the Funeral Director, one of the people we had got to know well and this helped. Mary has been an absolute star all the way through so generous with her time and wisdom - she became part of our family for a while and took such good care of our lovely Mum. She also took Dad under her wing too, we'll never forget her and hope to stay in touch.
The care and attention to detail has been wonderful throughout and I cannot recommend C&T Forest Hill highly enough!
When my mum sadly passed away, I was at a loss of how to proceed with the process of arranging a funeral for her. I went to Constable and Toop because they carried out the arrangements for my Grans funeral many many years ago and mum always said that it was Constable and Toop that she would like to arrange her funeral when the time came. From the moment we walked through the door my husband and I were greeted with professionalism, warmth, care, and above all love. Every finite detail being large or small was carried out to perfection. They even arranged for the wonderful Jo Napthine to be the funeral Celebrant.
To Angela and all her colleagues. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.
On the day we were particularly impressed with all the staff, but our director for the day was Stephen, who was fantastic. The day proceeded well and we felt comfortable in the knowledge that everything was being taken care off.
Thank you for making the day go well and for us to not have to think about the practicalities of the day but just allowed to grieve.
But from the moment I spoke to Constable & Toop, I was at ease, they were upfront & honest with me, they were not the cheapest, I appreciated this, as everyone was trying to be so nice to me because of my loss, but it went much deeper, the warmth & empathy they showed was comforting, in uncertain times for me. The embalming transformed my last recollection of my mother struggling for breath on her deathbed, to her peacefully asleep. The funeral director was monumentally understanding on the day of the funeral, as they were with recommending printers, florists & countless other aspects i was unaware of, thank you Constable & Toop I will never forget.
What I will say though is, as a first port of call after the loss of a loved one( in my case it was my mum), they give assurance and shine some sunlight when all seems dark and lost.
They are a great team who took so much pressure off my shoulders when I just needed to grieve. I was in contact mostly with Mary at the Honor Oak Park branch. She was incredible, helping me to get though a very painful process with such caring. She is a lady with a wonderful soul who you instantly connect with.
The funeral itself was an amazing event, presided over by Kerri and her team. The day that I'd always imagined would be the darkest of my life, ended up being a really beautiful celebration of my mum's life. It is what she would have wanted for herself.
Again, from my mum and I, thank you, Mary, Kerri and team.
