From the moment I first picked up the phone to make initial inquiries and tried to say the words 'my Mum has died' I was supported with such kindness and compassion, in-fact the whole family were all very well cared for by Mary, Kerri and the team at C&T Forest Hill.

They supported us throughout one of the most difficult times in life, gently helping us through the process, facing funeral arrangements etc. On the day of the funeral it was good to see Kerri's familiar face leading the way as the Funeral Director, one of the people we had got to know well and this helped. Mary has been an absolute star all the way through so generous with her time and wisdom - she became part of our family for a while and took such good care of our lovely Mum. She also took Dad under her wing too, we'll never forget her and hope to stay in touch.

The care and attention to detail has been wonderful throughout and I cannot recommend C&T Forest Hill highly enough!

My goodness, I don’t know where to start or how to put into words how amazing the staff at Constable & Toop are. After my first visit, I felt like all of the worry of the past week had lifted instantly. Mary is just the best lady EVER! Jo, the celebrant, was so sweet and kind and just all of the staff were incredible - I could not have done it without them! They made my Aunt’s day so joyful and run so smoothly and took all of the stress out of everything. I can’t thank you all enough. From the bottom of my heart. ♥️

I could never put into words what I feel about Constable and Toop.

When my mum sadly passed away, I was at a loss of how to proceed with the process of arranging a funeral for her. I went to Constable and Toop because they carried out the arrangements for my Grans funeral many many years ago and mum always said that it was Constable and Toop that she would like to arrange her funeral when the time came. From the moment we walked through the door my husband and I were greeted with professionalism, warmth, care, and above all love. Every finite detail being large or small was carried out to perfection. They even arranged for the wonderful Jo Napthine to be the funeral Celebrant.

To Angela and all her colleagues. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.

Words can't express my gratitude to Constable and Toop. Dealing with the death of my lovely mum, Cherie, at a young age has been made that little bit easier by the wonderful people here. Mary is a literal angel, she still rings me now almost two months after my mum's funeral just to check on me. Mary is so compassionate, funny and kind - she was able to bring joy and laughter to the farewell process and I had complete confidence in her. Constable and Toop, really did go above and beyond, Keri even ensured my last minute request that a tiara be placed in my mum's hair was carried out just before her funeral. Keri even sent me pictures so I could see how beautiful and perfect my mum looked. Lyn from the Downham branch was equally as lovely and accommodating, enabling the opportunity for me to do my mum's hair and nails before her funeral. I would highly recommend Constable and Toop. They made sure everything I wanted was carried out, even if it was difficult, they found a solution so my mum could have the send off she deserves. I will be forever grateful to them.

Ever since we made our initial contact, everyone at Constable & Toop have been wonderful and really reassuring about the process. They really do listen and cater for your every need from the planning, all the way right through the day of the funeral itself. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I cannot recommend Constable & Toop highly enough. During a very difficult period, which all family bereavements are, they quietly helped with every aspect of the funeral. Their calm guidance was reassuring and we felt we were being looked after, every step of the way.

On the day we were particularly impressed with all the staff, but our director for the day was Stephen, who was fantastic. The day proceeded well and we felt comfortable in the knowledge that everything was being taken care off.

Thank you for making the day go well and for us to not have to think about the practicalities of the day but just allowed to grieve.

My mother died January 30th, I've never had anyone close to me died before, as her only child, I had to do everything, I was terrified, the loss of my mum only amplified the terror.
But from the moment I spoke to Constable & Toop, I was at ease, they were upfront & honest with me, they were not the cheapest, I appreciated this, as everyone was trying to be so nice to me because of my loss, but it went much deeper, the warmth & empathy they showed was comforting, in uncertain times for me. The embalming transformed my last recollection of my mother struggling for breath on her deathbed, to her peacefully asleep. The funeral director was monumentally understanding on the day of the funeral, as they were with recommending printers, florists & countless other aspects i was unaware of, thank you Constable & Toop I will never forget.

I've read many of the other five star reviews and there is not much that I can add to them.

What I will say though is, as a first port of call after the loss of a loved one( in my case it was my mum), they give assurance and shine some sunlight when all seems dark and lost.

They are a great team who took so much pressure off my shoulders when I just needed to grieve. I was in contact mostly with Mary at the Honor Oak Park branch. She was incredible, helping me to get though a very painful process with such caring. She is a lady with a wonderful soul who you instantly connect with.

The funeral itself was an amazing event, presided over by Kerri and her team. The day that I'd always imagined would be the darkest of my life, ended up being a really beautiful celebration of my mum's life. It is what she would have wanted for herself.

Again, from my mum and I, thank you, Mary, Kerri and team.
