I cannot thank Dianne at the Catford branch enough for her professionalism and hard work when arranging a family funeral. Alan and his team on the day were absolute gents and very slick. The sector has undergone a lot of change with a small group of owners controlling most providers in the UK. This has led to some very sharp practice. If you unfortunately have to arrange a funeral then please try a go with an independent director. If you are based in South London, I cannot recommend Mears highly enough. Michael

I have nothing but praise for Mears Family Funerals Catford, the branch manager Dianne was a dream to work with - very organised, proactive, accommodating and personable. The team and her gave mummy a very befitting send-off. Mum looked amazing, her coffin was beautiful, being able to view her twice before the send off was something I’ll never forget. The undertakers on the day were also amazing, people from all over the world that attended the funeral cannot stop talking about how pleased they were.

We felt reasurred and comforted by Mears Family Funerals at such a difficult time. We used their service 7 years ago for our mum and came across them by chance after a sadly disappointing meeting with a well-known funeral service. From the moment I walked through the door to book my dad’s funeral I felt like we were family , I was not pressured into booking and it was very relaxed and calming, no matter how many times I called/emailed Dianne it was never a problem and I emailed ALOT . We were kept up to date on everything! On the day of the funeral the guys driving the car were relaxed friendly and helped with seatbelts and help getting people out cars! Joe the funeral director was amazing young friendly and extremely professional he has a great mannerism! James the celebrant wow we felt like we had been friends for years amazing man credit to the company.
