From the first nervous call to Ballard and Shortall at Horley. The response I got felt right. The team at Horley were all very helpful. Even when they were being hit by a covid outbreak. They kept me updated. All service options were presented and choices were easy to make with no pressure. The result was a lovely funeral service shared by all.

On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you all for your sympathetic, professionalism on Wednesday and over the last two weeks.

My brother and I both noted your grace and kindness; the professional, easy and helpful way in which you managed the organisation of the service with a sensitive and friendly touch meant a lot to me and my family and gave us peace and comfort. You took the time to create a memorial that Mum would have wanted and that truly honoured the wonderful lady that my mother was. It really was a very personal touch which did not go unnoticed and meant so very much.

We cannot thank you enough for the compassion and support you’ve provided to our family during this time of bereavement and great sorrow. My family also noted your kindness and commented on the service being one that Granny would have been proud of. They asked me to pass on their thanks to you also.

From the moment we contacted Ballard and Shorthall, we as a family, new we had made the right choice. Our lovely mum had passed away unexpectedly and it was a while before we could firstly release mum into the Care of Ballard and Shorthall and secondly fix a date for her funeral. We needn't have worried. Kevin was wonderful. He was reassuring, attentive and very sympathetic regarding our concerns and needs. Without going into too much detail, when we visited mum in the Chapel of Rest, and that was several weeks after her passing due to a post mortem, she looked beautiful. So peaceful and at rest. We cried tears of joy/relief as well as sadness. We visited many times, and it was never a problem. We were always made very welcome. Communication was first class and the day of the funeral ran so smoothly, again thanks to Kevin and his whole team. We cannot thank you enough for helping us give our lovely mum the special send off she so deserved. It's never easy knowing who to turn too at this time, particularly when you haven't done it before, but we would not hesitate in recommending Kevin and his team at Ballard and Shorthall. Thank you again, so very much!

Honestly we could not be more grateful for the way Kevin managed the funeral arrangements. Kevin and the team were professional, down to earth and showed such compassion from start to finish.
