Needless to say the day of mum's funeral went exactly as planned and if there is such a thing as a "good" funeral this was it.
Ian and Wendy clearly care deeply about their profession; and the service they provide I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending. Ian Booth
A special thank you also to Kirsty, who made the difficult decisions so much easier with her recommendations and experience. I would not entrust the final care of my loved ones to anyone else.
When my dad passed away after a short fight with Cancer earlier this year, it came as a shock, and the last thing on my mind was organising a funeral. I had heard many distressing stories in the past from friends and family of “rip-off” fees, terrible service, and lasting bad memories of the big funeral directors that you see many adverts for. It seems a very strange thing to say, but I feel very fortunate to have had a kind person recommend Ian Wilde to me.
From the very first call, the Wilde family were kind, respectful, professional, and empathetic. They knew what I was going through and gave me all the information I needed that I didn’t even know to ask for. There was no “up-selling”, their prices were completely transparent and what they provided was perfect. They even went the extra mile in helping me through some issues I had with orders of service I’d arranged independently, and nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
It was clear that as a family business, their reputation matters a great deal to them, and they do everything they can to maintain an excellent one. The Celebrant they recommended, David Scholes (who was great), spoke very highly of Ian Wilde as did the Florist, Margaret Mason, who were also superb and put together an amazing display, just as the Wilde family told me they would be. I also had feedback from some of my close family who had organised funerals for others using some of the bigger companies and they told me that the experience with Ian Wilde was a significantly more positive and personal one than their experience with the bigger companies.
If you’re in the unfortunate position of needing a Funeral Director around the Preston area, I would whole heartedly recommend Ian Wilde.
When my mum passed after an even shorter fight, this month, we had no question about using Ian Wilde again. My mum passed away at the hospital and once she was at Ian Wilde Funeral home, I felt like I could breathe again knowing mum was in good hands. I felt like she was at peace.
Me and my brother have lost both parents at a young age and we felt like we needed guidance. This is exactly what we got. We cannot recommend Ian Wilde enough. Knowing your loved ones are in safe and caring hands is what you need at the most difficult time.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for looking after both mum and dad, and making sure we were ok too.
Everything ran so smoothly we hardly felt the whole process which was a blessing. Everything was taken care of and just perfect.
Thank you!
