Nick did a great job constructing some wooden planters for our café bar in Mumbles. We discussed the design, I gave him the sizes and he manufactured, delivered and installed within the agreed timescale. I'd definitely recommend his services and would use again.

I've used Hand and Craft for two custom pieces now, a standing desk top and this shoe rack. Both pieces are of great quality and exactly to specification and were also hand delivered!

Love our new coffee table! It is different size than the one available on the website but we had no issues in requesting a custom size. Already received lots of positive comments from friends and family. Thank you for a pleasant transaction :)

Bought two large planters. Turned up with one man who couldn’t get it off the van. 2 days after they arrives the wheels buckled. Turns out he put cheap wheels on because he ‘didn’t have the good ones in stock’ . Asked him to come out and replace the wheels. He said no. Said he would post me new wheels to put on myself. Didnt. Shocking after spending £1000. Messaged him twice on WhatsApp and he blocked me. Could have been an easy fix. Instead, they just took shortcuts. Poor.

Thanks to Nick and his team we have a lovely 4m table for our new office. Lovely design, great attention to details and beautifully finished. Would 100% recommend.

Extremely disappointing experience with Hand and Craft. Found the company on Etsy and contacted about getting some planters for outside. Ordered the planters and had to wait over 3 months for half of the order to arrive to then wait another 3 weeks for the other half of the planters to arrive. Once the planters arrived we realised the quality was actually quite poor and contacted Nick on multiple occasions about the issues. The wheels they had installed were "not made for outside" and we have had a "hot summer which explains the warping". On ordering the planters we explained they would only be used outside, as most planters are, and when the warping happened, it was raining for about 2 weeks so not sure how that works out, myself. I have had to employ a carpenter and pay a small fortune for him to replace wheels on 5 different occasions and also had him do his best to counter the warping of the wood. Even after all of this we are left with some poor craftsmanship that is quite frankly embarrassing to have as our outside area of a business. I have attached some photos for proof of wheels and warping. Don't want anyone else to end up paying over £3500 for sub-par planters to then have to pay hundreds of pounds to a chippy to try and rectify whatever is possible. These photos are as of now and after a chippy has been at them trying to counter the warping. The wheels pictured came off again this weekend. That is the 6th time since May time!

Brought a table from these guys a few months ago and it’s completely warped in shape! Tried to get hold of them for months and he finally messaged back saying to fix it ourselves since then they have ghosted us! Absolutely gutted as it was an £800 table! Would not recommend using this company!!!!

TERRIBLE COMPANY - NOT RECOMMENDED!
I found this company (operating then under Hand & Craft Furniture, same people) late last year and asked them to make me two outdoor planters for 4 olive trees.
Nick had been helpful at the time, I explained that the planters needed to have good drainage as olive trees hate sitting in water. He said he’d drill lots of holes in the bottom and add oak legs to raise it from the ground - sounded sensible.
The planters arrived and immediately I could see they weren’t aligned and straight. We left this and over winter they went black and bowed and started to drop in the middle. They looked DREADFUL. I contacted Nick who told me to remove the legs (as the weight was too much for the trees - why add them then?!). I explained that it would cost me a lot of money to have a gardener back, empty them all, take them off and replant. Nick refused to help, refund or pay the cost of this. What then happened was 6 MONTHS of ignored emails, calls and messages. We were told by another person in the office that the legs should never have been added (which we agreed with) but again nothing offered. The quality of the wood was poor and getting black, it looks awful. We were then offered a replacement which I agreed to, again heard nothing. Then offered a 25% refund and again heard nothing.
This is supposed to be a family business, who should have put this right. It’s businesses like this that steer consumers to larger more established set ups who don’t rip you off and leave you with a terrible product. I’ll never use them again and I’d warn everyone off this business.
