I am Disgusted with this company panther transport they was meant to deliver as stated to a room of choice however left my wife with a sofa in the garden and said we don’t have time to put it in the house and walked off leaving myself to travel an hour to do the job not only was my 12-2pm time slot arriving at 6pm with them telling me at 4pm they will be 1 hour and putting the phone down how this company still runs is beyond me. They say my complaint is settled but can not disclose due to gdpr so they have just fobbed me off I never complain as I work in a customer service role myself but this is beyond me if I can give 0 stars I would disgusting leaving over £1000 sofa outside where it could of rained and ruined the sofa.
You need to change your courier I will not be returning to this company.
Please if you’re considering buying furniture, go elsewhere! There are so many better companies that actually value their customers.
If you see the review from Old Nomad, the exact same thing happened to me. I was advised by My Furniture that the sofa measurements would be fine for my doorway. Based off of this information, I ordered a sofa. They arranged for ‘Panther’ to deliver my sofa. When they arrived, the delivery man came downstairs and looked at our front door. He said yes that will fit. The delivery men then carried the sofa down the stairs, along the hallway and stopped at my front door. They then said they were unsure if the sofa would fit through the door in the box. I said we could take it out of the box and try. They didn’t want to wait. They told me they could take the sofa away and I’ll be refunded. Not once did they mention that this would cost anything. Even at the point of notifying My Furniture of the return, they never mentioned that this would cost me anything. I was appalled to see that I wasn’t refunded in full. They are charging me for the return even though it’s not my fault. Please be aware of this company. I feel like I’ve been scammed.
In response to the reply below, your customer service team assured me that the measurements would fit into my home before I placed the order. This is misleading under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You misled me into ordering the sofa based on the information that YOU provided.
Also you’re saying that the deliver driver couldn’t wait a few minutes to work out what to do, even though they delayed my delivery by over 2 HOURS?! This is appalling customer service. What a scam.
UPDATE: I ordered a new sofa from Snug, it was hassle free and far better customer service. Coincidentally, the same delivery driver delivered my new sofa and he apologised for the mistake last time and said that his colleague was new and shouldn’t have done brought the sofa inside when he could see that the door was too narrow for the box to fit through. Despite the delivery company accepting fault, My Furniture are still charging me £60 for the return. This is a warning to other customers to please go elsewhere for your furniture.
Good luck with getting your refund from them if you do a return, they will do everything to scam you. I had to chase them for my refund, they said it will take 3-5 days for the refund to come back to my account. 2 weeks later, nothing came, I followed up and they refunded me short of £422.99, they probably thought I wouldn’t notice, I had to check with them and they said it was a mistake. Who does that?
Then, they device another scheme to scam me since the first scam didn’t work, they took £120 from my refund, £60 for a bed that was refused because their drivers weren’t willing to try taking the bed to my room, they said it wouldn’t fit even if I took measurements of my staircase which clearly shows the bed will fit through my staircase, they wanted to leave the bed downstairs so I can take it up myself. I was also charged another £60 for collection of another bed that was inferior quality. They can’t just take £120 from me for nothing, that’s not right. I will take this to small claims court.
This company is dishonest, take your money elsewhere. I’ve now purchased same superking size bed even bigger from benson and beds and they delivered to my room with no issue.
