What a wonderful experience - this is our story

They say that moving house rates as one of the more stressful experiences in life

We have just downsized (the last hurrah) and moved to a retirement apartment - Stan and Irene Matthews have made, what could have been a fraught process, memorable, enjoyable and a delight.

Our immediate need was to optimise the space and reinvent ourselves with a contemporary, stylish and fresh feel.

We visited the showroom, liked what we saw and asked for ideas and a quotation

They met us on site, they listened, they made recommendations, produced ideas and plans (over a weekend) met us in our existing home
and produced a scheme and programme (within our budget).

To our absolute amazement and joy - before we moved in - beautiful hand painted bookcases were built, wardrobes and cupboards fitted out and a state of the art workstation (with a wall of adjacent shelves for DVDs) installed.

Finally, to complement the fitted furniture, curtains and poles were made and installed, chairs recovered and bedheads fitted.

We cannot recommend Stand and Irene Matthews too highly - they
provide a personal, highly professional and bespoke design service which has exceeded our expectations.

And they are a pleasure to work with - unfailingly courteous, unassuming, warm and straight forward.

Stan is a great designer and really provides good quality shelves and closets exactly as you want it and where you want it. It is installed proffesionally with minimum fuss and prices are competitive. I am very satisfied and I would use him again in a heartbeat

We had our new bedroom fitted the last week of July starting from a blank canvas. Its awesome and I couldn't be more happy. We found Stan on Google and from our first appointment he was really helpful, friendly and professional. We had a few ideas of what we wanted, but nothing was set in stone. With Stans guidance and design expertise, we agreed on a bespoke design and colour scheme, including a large custom made unit and bed. Nothing was to much trouble, Stan came to our home and helped with the design and in a few days we had drawings and quote for both bedrooms. The fitting took 3 days,fitted to an exceptional standard. I would highly recommend Stan. You'll be super happy with the process, design and quality.

We employed the services of Irene from Stan Matthews Design to help with fabric choice and colours for door curtain and roman blind for our kitchen. We are thrilled with the quality of what was fitted and with our kitchen being on the front of the house the suggestion of a privacy roller blind was brilliant!
