Quite an extraordinary outburst from the "gentleman" (very loose term!) writing the review before mine.I see he is from Aberdeen.....please stay there!
I have to disagree and congratulate everyone involved in the smooth running of this marvellous shop on many years of excellence!
The furniture in the showroom has always been of first class quality and the staff very friendly and helpful even when my visits have been "to browse only"
Suzie Mar has worked tirelessly to ensure satisfaction from all her customers and certainly has helped me on numerous occasions with various projects in my home.Her expertise (never an extra charge) has been invaluable to me, I can't thank her enough.
The closing of the showroom will be a great loss to people in the Ripley area....thank goodness Suzie is still continuing with her design business.

Rude staff, over priced rubbish, rude staff, rude staff. Oh, did i mention the incredibly rude staff?! Good riddance. There are plenty other better shops offering nicer goods with infinitely nicer staff. Ripley will not be sorry to see you go. Bunch of muppets. My experience with the rude staff is not an isolated one either, I know of at least two other people that were treated disgustingly. Shop owners/workers heed the warning, if you're generally horrid to customers then they won't come back and you WILL go out of business.
Ps. It's 2014, get a website that works! Another reason you've gone under. Overpriced, rude staff and zero online presence. Well done, idiots.

Having just read the rather caustic and unnecessary review by Mr Wilson, I feel the need to contribute. I have bought furniture from Wyllie & Mar for my homes in London and Esher and also had a home design consultation (Suzie in attendance). I would say I am a difficult customer - a batchelor without a clue - yet Suzie was incredibly patient and thorough, guiding me through the subtleties of 'this works well with that' and leaving me with inspirational ideas, but without any feeling of pressure or obligation. Suzie has 'old school' knowledge of paints, materials and fabrics and the creative flair to deploy them for our enjoyment. I have no doubt she is providing the same authentic and professional service now, as she was when the Wyllie & Mar retail store operated in Ripley.
