Scotsdales Garden Centre Fordham

Disappointing to say the least. Popped in to get a quick bite and ordered pancakes and rashers. The pancakes would have made good stepping stones, hard as a biscuit. Nursery plants were in good shape. Just dont eat the pancake rocks.

If you collect houseplants, like myself, then I highly recommend Scotsdales in Fordham. We visit almost every other weekend and I've always appreciated the variety and health of their indoor plants - particularly the desirable/rarer specimens. More recently, I had an issue with some of my plants. No big deal, just something that comes with the territory and I wanted to fyi them so they could nip it in the bud, so to speak. They insisted on replacing (and then some!) the plants that had become sick. They were incredibly generous! It's not often that shops recognise and appreciate regular and loyal custom these days and so it took me back a little bit and certainly made my day! Might have to increase my visits to weekly - although I'm not sure we'd have much house left for ourselves 😂

Good selection of plants and household goods but the star attraction is the Cafe. Nothing “super” special (it’s a lovely cafe) and nothing bad to report but the Food is great. Portions are generous sizes. Plenty of choice and includes Vegan or Vegetarian options. In my opinion it’s very good value for money too. Plenty of seating and A/C in the restaurant so comfortable on hot days plus good outside areas where you can sit with your dog. Staff are super and very helpful.

Three of us went for a cup of tea and one of their lovely cakes. We enjoyed it very much they had some baby house plants which we purchased and look forward to seeing them grow. A good afternoon enjoyed by all.

I stopped here when passing through the area with work. I had a callor gas bottle that needed exchanging. I phone in advanced to ensure they had the size I needed in stock which the lady on the phone was really friendly. I arrived 30 minutes later and they had it out ready for me. A young man loaded it on to my vehicle and away I went. Simple.

Nice garden centre with huge range of plants and bulbs. The Christmas shop has lots of decorations and gifts including wines and spirits

Nice Garden Centre, worth travelling too. Always find something to purchase here, great plants in spring/summer and bargains to be found after Xmas.

Love this nursery, and the cafe is superb. Nice friendly environment with lots to look at, with plenty of parking too!
