Loved the cheddar sandwiches & tuna sandwiches, stuff very friendly, lots of garden furniture & plants

My first time here. Nice garden centre. Although it would have been nice if there was some staff to ask for advice on plants.
Good selection of gifts in the shop.
We ate in the cafe, was really nice and the menu was extensive.

The garden centre part of this place is fabulous, the cafe part is just as good, ( if not better ) ... relatively easy to get to, and let's face it how many people take a bus to here, or Calders, or Dobbies ???? LOOK 😲 They are putting up the Christmas Decorations .... aaarrrgg ... what happened to last year .... already 🤔

I was at Hayes garden centre today and had a pretty bad experience. They have all their Christmas stuff out and my daughter (she is only 3) accidentally broke a glass bauble which was hanging from one of their Christmas trees which I later found out was only £2.99 retail. I was then chased by a member of staff who demanded I pay for the broken bauble. I did end up paying for it but have come away feeling done over as surly this is a given in these places that accidents happen. if they do not have contingency for these wee accidents they should have fragile items out of reach or cordoned off. My daughter then felt like she had done something really bad and I felt sorry for her . Really disappointed and feel like the staff didn’t handle this very well at all. we are regular visitors to the centre for coffee/lunch And spend a fair amount, we told the girl this but she didn’t care - extremely poor customer service! All this upset for a £2.99 bauble!!!

Tend to go here most Sundays for a coffee and cake. Cakes are always beautiful and the breakfast rolls are great. Doesn't cost an arm and leg either so that's fair.

Beautiful selection but extremely overpriced. I bought Christmas lights then drove further on to Gemmel’s in Stand and bought the very same lights for half the price. The service was perfect too. Hayes lied in reply to save face. Edited this. I will AVOID now & highly recommend everyone to do the same. Poor show the manager of Hayes.

Went to the cafe yesterday. Staff are so rude and dripping in attitude. They can't even say please and thank you. They treat customers with utter contempt - it is palpable. I think the staff have a collective chip on their shoulders. What a way to run a business. Anyone one with half a brain realises if you don't provide good customer service, people will not return.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas . Lovely christmas toastie, pigs in blankets, cranberries and mince pie washed down with vanilla latte very yummy.
