A very beautiful garden, lovely company and a fantastic view. The literary festival in the summer (Wealden Literary Festival) is also well worth a visit!

A tattered affair; poorly kept grounds, dying or dead plants and litter all over. An overpriced tea room with dreadful service awaits anyone who would like to enter. This place was recommended to me by a friend who has since admitted they haven’t been since 2016. It’s a clear fall from grace.

Terrible place. Would only serve my family water and a slice of dry bread, told us we had already had a full meal and didn’t deserve any more.

Only had water in the room. Was told there was nothing else as we didn’t need it. No breakfast or lunch as the owners believe one meal a day was plenty.

Came to the garden and barn yesterday for a funeral. The garden does not look at it's best but only due to our recent drought. The barn is absolutely beautiful and the food served was excellent, very tasty snacks.
It appears there are a large number of reviews on here all dated 3 months ago and all 1*. Some unknown idiot is obviously using various aliases and has got a problem with this garden, I can't imagine why.
Ignore these reviews, visit and make up your own mind!

What a fantastic visit to an incredibly passionate couple who have developed this garden from scratch over the past 28 years I think. The cakes are also all home made by the lady of the house and very morish.
Great visit and very reasonable.
