Lovely walk in the rain round the fragarant gardens. Full of colour and scent with the Azaleas and Rhododendrons. Finished with a hot drink and a slice of delicious cake. What a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon. 😊

Beautiful gardens and cute cafe. Entry price is £7.50, they prefer cash for entry and card at the cafe.

Absolutely gorgeous. A riot of colour in a very peaceful setting. It’s well hidden, can’t be seen from the road and very surprising that many local people are unaware of its existence. It’s well worth a visit. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Surprising garden which should be on the west coast of Scotland but finds itself in a valley on the south slope of the North Downs. Huge rhododendron and conifers should not be growing on a south facing slope of chalk uplands, but thanks to some prehistoric beavers (so we are told) this valley has a deep bed of peat ideal for ericaceous plants. The mild climate no doubt helps the plants to grow to a huge size. A must-visit.
