A very modern and well presented garden. It's a great place to take photos of plants and architecture.

Oh what lovely space! You can smell all of the flowers and the roses and see bees 🐝 working
It has two benches just to sit and relax, just enjoy the quiet and the smell

Be careful with your allergies 😅

Such a beautiful well maintain small garden in the middle of the city. Full of wild flowers and greenery. Such a lovely place to take a break and enjoy the scenery.

Christ Church Greyfriars, also known as Christ Church Newgate Street, was a church in Newgate Street, opposite St Paul's Cathedral in the City of London.

Established as a monastic church in the thirteenth century, it became a parish church after the Dissolution of the Monasteries.

A lovely, peaceful haven amongst the hustle and bustle of City life. I often sit here after my night shift at St Barts & enjoy a coffee before heading home. The birdsong is exquisite & the plants/flowers are so beautiful. A perfect way to relax!

Was a lovely place for a mini photo shoot. Pretty background. Plus lots of seating for a lunch break. Also in a good central location! 👌

Some reviewers say that these gardens are in the ruins of a Franciscan Church that perished in the Great Fire of 1666. That church, dating from 1225, would have been built primarily of wood. These stone remains belong to a ‘new’ church, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, completed in 1704. The latter was sadly hit by incendiary bombs in 1940 during World War II, leaving only the west tower now standing.

The rose garden, established in 1989, was designed to reflect the floor plan of the original church. A great place to chill or enjoy lunch in the summer. A little grey in January at the time of these photographs, but still worth taking time to pause for a while.

Christchurch Greyfriars Church Garden is divided on two areas and it includes a beautiful rose garden. The garden is on the site of the Franciscan Church of Greyfriars established in 1225. The church was destroyed in the great fire of London. Four queens were buried in the old churchy. A new church, designed by Christopher Wren, was completed in 1704 but it was partly destroyed during the bombings of the Second World War. These days only the west tower now stands.

Lovely ruins just on the corner of St. Paul's cathedral, worth to visit if you are already around.
