Whittington Gardens

This is a lovely but small park, which provides a rare and needed spot of green in the City. When it's sunny it's very bright and warm, and the trees and fountain provide necessary rest from the sun. Given its size and location it gets very full, very quickly.

One of the rare traditional open spaces in the city of London. An old churchyard, it has trees and benches, but it is right next to busy Queen Victoria Street so it is generally quite noisy. Used by city workers as a place to eat lunch or to have a smoke, it is often blighted by litter.

Wonderful little garden. Unexpected green spot in the city. Well shaded from trees and a number of benches for a sit down. Grassy area for picnics etc and impressive fountain.

London's need more places like Whittington Gardens

Another pleasant City of London “pocket garden” with a grassed area, some maintained shrubs, plants and mature trees aside The Innholders Hall.
A fountain here, though simple and unadorned, unquestionably the locus with two black equestrian statuettes reminiscent of The Nazgul/ Ringwraiths adding an incongruous touch.
Becalmed and well-maintained.

Good place to put your thoughts together - but someone took out the lamps from the fountain - would be great to get them back and enjoy this place in the evening as well...

Was a pleasant experience here. Sitting watching and listening to the gentle sounds of the fountain at night. Found it by chance coming of the bridge nearby.
