Nice little place to eat your takeaway or to sit for a chat by Tower Hill, but I'd rather walk a little further to St. Dunstans since it gets a little chilly here.

On the plus side, it's not very busy, and St. Olave's (the church attached to the garden) is cute and of course, heavily historic (Swedish king really liked it apparently?).

The three skulls above the garden gate are worth a gander.

Nice place to stop and rest. Seating Available and food places near by, short walk from tower of London. Also near the river. Not too busy most times.

This the latest addition to The City of London’s collection of “pocket gardens” is set against an imposing Beaux Arts backdrop.
Paved pathways (With a tale to tell) flow between raised beds containing masses of shrubs, plants and flowers, an impeccable sun-trap lawn, pergola and shady trees; all maintained in the au courant “Corporate Contemporary” landscape look .
Bust of Samuel Pepys here on historic former site of his employer, The Navy Office.

What a joyfully bonkers achievement this is. The statue draws the eye. The garden interlaced by pathways refreshes the soul. Best of all, the exquisite paving stones are far more evocative of the past than any book, film or talk. Well done!

Perfect small garden, imaculately clean very quiet and not busy at all.We thought that it was private and belonged to the Four Season hotel, but apparently it's open to the public. Even though it's a couple of minutes walk from the Tower of London and the main road you don't hear any traffic noise. There is loads of seating all around the garden.

Well kept garden with lovely light. Surrounded by nice pubs and restaurants. Close to a number of underground and overground stations so easily accessible. Next to the famous four seasons hotel.

Seething Lane was famous as the place where Samuel Pepys lived, worked and wrote much of his famous diary. The garden, recently redeveloped, was previously occupied by the Navy Office building where Samuel worked, as a plaque indicates. Carved pavers throughout the garden refer to the life of Samuel Pepys including one portraying the parmesan cheese and wine said to be buried in the garden to protect these expensive delicacies during the Great Fire. The garden also hosts one of London’s oldest traditions.
The Knollys Rose Ceremony marks an ancient custom dating from 1381. Permission to construct a bridge across Seething Lane at the time led to the annual charge of one red rose from the garden.
