This garden is situated within the grounds of the former Roman walls of London and we can still see the remains of a bastion of the Roman fort on the main road before the gardens. The present garden was begun in 1987 on a derelict bomb-site, next to the Barbers' Surgeon building, and contains a herb garden containing all the plants with which a surgeon needed to be familiar with.

I found the Roman bastion more interesting than the garden. With the Museum of London so close by, and the Barbican not too far away, there's probably better things to do in this area unless you happen to be passing by.

An interesting place to stop and a lovely hidden view of the Barbican Estate.
