A beautiful breathing space in Southend where you can meet wonderful people, get your hands dirty, learn about growing things and share a nice meal.

As per our allotments, we are growing 120 bean plants, beetroot, cabbage, kale, sprouts, sweetcorn, lettuce, tomatoes, spring onions, courgettes, cucumber, radishes, carrots, strawberries, parsnips, all from scratch! We also have on the second allotment a slight orchard 5 plums, 3 cherry, 4 pear, and 4 apple trees! Plus all the soft fruit bushes from last year! We're happy, most of the seeds are growing and we plant the rest in pots on Monday! A real glut if it all grows well!!

As a home owner who's garden backs onto the allotment, I must say how disgusted I am that weeds, bramble and ivy are just left to grow and fester. This is now causing damage to my fence.
No one seems to care
