Lovely little part of Avenham Park. Pretty little Japanese garden filled with birds. Word of warning it's pretty steep and stone steps can get slippery when wet so only suitable for the more sure footed

Avenham Park's Japanese Garden still looking gorgeous. Water lilies just opening and the borders of tall, white(shasta?) daisies are beautiful. Well worth taking a breath and climbing up the steps!

I was lucky enough for this to be my playground as a kid as I grew up just off Avenham lane. This place has lost none of its magic, it’s only got more beautiful over the 40 years I’ve been coming here. There’s nowhere else like it in Lancashire, it’s a real gem.

Very pretty spot. Great to spend a minute or two on the bridge. It isn't very big, but it's relaxing.

This is an exquisite ornamental garden, set in the stunning Avenham & Miller Parks. It was opened in 1936 and was laid out in the style of an alpine rock garden. Whether or not it was the original designer's intention, the rock garden certainly has some elements of a Japanese garden and has been so named since the 1970s. Without doubt it is a beautiful spot where meandering and quiet contemplation is inevitable.

I love the place here. Though it is really small but there are some exotic plants the little pond and ducks.
