Went for a couple of hours on a Saturday. Beautiful grounds and very peaceful, would make a nice date location. Make sure you bring an activity (e.g. picnic) - we didn't and within two hours we had already seen all there was to see (twice!) so the entry fee (£8) felt quite steep.

This garden was a fantastic surprise: beautiful, well kept and maintained, a perfect sunny afternoon spent walking in idyllic settings. It is big!
There are no shops there, so take a picnic if you fancy, or have a coffee before/after nearby.
Take comfy shoes.

Toilets are near the carpark, very nice.
Parking is free. To access it, you need to go through (what I think was) the old coaches way in, ie, go under an arched, narrow, entrance. So cars, bikes and motorbikes only. If you are travelling in a caravan or bigger vehicle, I'd suggest making arrangements in advance.

This is a private garden, tickets are £8 pp (April 2022) and no dogs or children under 15 are allowed. You can purchase tickets with cash or card, and you'll get a basic guide and map.

I must admit to feeling a bit guilty about not having been to Rousham before, having seen it many many times in passing. What an absolute gem of a place that I will be returning to many times in the future. Beautiful gardens, lakes, statues, water features all the way down to the river. A glorious afternoon picnicing on the lawns.

Beautiful, privately owned William Kent House & Gardens. No children under 15 or dogs allowed. Beautiful dovecote.

Just stunning. Beautifully kept gardens and while I’m not a fan of the no dogs or children under 15 rule it does make for an incredibly tranquil space.

Incredibly beautiful gardens at any season of the year. Autumn is particularly spectacular

Highly recommend a visit to this lovely estate with its magnificent grounds and enchanted formal gardens. The sylvan paradise has been formalized to protect the manor from nymphs and centaurs but keep an eye out if you venture onto the flood plain where spirits and sprites abound.
